Using ODTU-OU
To post a message to all the list members, send email to odtu-ou@metu.edu.tr. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below. Current and retired METU faculty members can subscribe to this e-list with their "metu.edu.tr" e-mail addresses. Applications coming from different e-mail addresses will be discarded. There is size limitation for the messages sent to ODTU-OU list. Messages larger than 1500 KB are distributed after approval. For this reason there may be delays in some deliveries. There is recipient limitation in Mailman system to prevent spreading of spam messages. In case of ODTU-OU, messages sent to more than 10 recipients are not given approval. Such messages will be sent to the other e-mail addresses (if these addresses have no problems) but they are not distributed to ODTU-OU list. For this reason, such a message should be sent to odtu-ou@metu.edu.tr address either separately or along with a fewer number of recipients. In Mailman e-list server, content filtering is done to prevent the distribution of virus infected messages. Accordingly, attachments other than those with the extensions listed below are not distributed to the list: 7z, bmp, csv, doc, docx, gif, gz, htm, html, jpeg, jpg, mml, odf, odg, odp, ods, odt, otp, ots, ott, pdb, pdf, php, png, pps, ppsx, ppt, pptx, prn, psw, pxl, rar, rtf, sda, sdc, sdd, smf, stc, sti, stw, sxc, sxi, sxm, sxw, tff, tiff, txt, vor, wmv, xls, xlsx, xlw, xml, zip
Subscribing to ODTU-OU
Subscribe to ODTU-OU by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
